What is Flicker Box?
Flicker Box is a monthly subscription service for candle lovers! Our foundation was inspired by a love and appreciation for handmade candles. We believe that people appreciate products produced by quality artisans made in the United States. We want to connect candle lovers with people who love to make candles.
How does it work?
Each Flicker Box contains a variety of artisanal candles delivered right to your doorstep. Subscribers will receive a thematically curated box of artisanal candles each month made from around the United States for as low as $25+shipping/month.

Can you send me a box to review on my blog/a sample to see if I like it?
Flicker Box no longer offers FREE or SAMPLE boxes for review purposes. We do appreciate your interest in Flicker Box and we have reserved a one-time, exclusive discounted rate for our bloggers. Please submit your request in writing with the details of your blog or enter your info into our form and will get back to you with the following steps.
How many boxes are available each month?
Flicker Box will create as many boxes as demand allows. If we sell out (which we do sometimes), you'll go on a waiting list until we have enough product to fulfill your order.

What’s in my Flicker Box?
All kinds of candle goodness! At Flicker Box, we work diligently to curate each month’s contents with a theme that will make your home cozy and warm. We like healthy candles that are artisan-made and packed with customization. We like candles that are made from organic ingredients like soy wax or beeswax, cotton or wood wicks, and the finest fragrance and essential oils. These aren't your grandmother's candles - each month your Flicker Box will be delightful and unique.
What are the boxes worth?
The total value of items featured in each Flicker Box will vary from month to month, however, will always meet or exceed what you pay for each month. And don't forget about shipping! Flicker Box likes to sneak in a few extra gifts here and there too. It’s our way of saying thanks…and we’re sneaky like that!
What does 'artisanal candles' mean?
We all love the way candles make our surroundings look, smell and feel. We love the way some candles fill our homes with warm aromas; how candle light dances on our walls; and how the flame flickers at the touch of a breeze. There are some big name brands that we all love, however, there are some artists who work hard to make AMAZING candles and are not sold in big box stores. These are the artisans that Flicker Box wants to share with you. We scour the United States to find candle makers who create candles with a unique quality and we want to share those qualities with you and your home.

Flicker Box ships to the United States ONLY.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping is a flat rate fee of $7.95 for all subscriptions.
My box was lost or damaged in the mail
If you don’t receive your box, please contact us within 10 days of the shipping date. Please contact Flicker Box immediately, and we will try our best to locate and replace it. Flicker Box is not responsible for locating or replacing missing boxes if notified more than 10 days after shipping date.
If your box arrives with damaged items, please contact us within 2 days of receiving the box and we will do our best to replace the damaged items. Flicker Box is unable to replace your damaged items if notified after 2 days of receiving your box. Please note, Flicker Box requires photographic evidence of the damage and may require you to return the damaged item(s).
What if I don’t like what I got in my box?
We would be disappointed in ourselves for not providing you with what you wanted. Flicker Box carefully curates each box with the hope that you will love each item. However, we realize not everyone will love everything we send. We understand that as a paying subscriber you’d like to enjoy every item you pay for, and for that we apologize. Flicker Box loves your feedback and in the event that you receive an item(s) you simply do not like, let us know (so we can plan for future boxes) and consider gifting your items to a friend.
My item is defective
If you receive an item that is defective, unfortunately, Flicker Box is unable to replace them. Because we do not make the items, we recommend that you contact the artist directly. Each box comes with a description of the artist in the event that you’d like to reach out to them. If you no longer have the artist’s information or are unable to contact them, please let us know and we will try our best to help you resolve the issue.
Can I get a refund?
No. Flicker Box does not offer refunds. When purchasing a Flicker Box subscription you are agreeing to purchase a box containing surprise items. Month-to-month subscriptions can stop at any time and we discontinue charging you, however, because 3, 6 & 12 month subscriptions are prepaid, you will have been charged in full. If something arrives broken or damaged, please let us know within 2 days of receiving your Flicker Box and we’ll see what we can do.

What happens after my subscription period runs out?
ALL Flicker Box subscriptions (purchased after Sept 2015) will auto-renew at the end of your term. A month to month subscription will auto-renew every 30 days; a bi-monthly subscription will auto-renew after 60 days; a 3 month subscription will auto-renew after 90 days; a 6 month subscription will auto-renew after 180 days; a 12 month subscription will auto-renew after 365 days. Flicker Box will send you a "Subscription Renewal Reminder" email 7 days prior to your renewal date. Renewal payments are set to renew on the same date that your subscription began. You can log in to your account at anytime to see your past and future payments here
What if I love an item in my Flicker Box and want to buy it again?
Flicker Box includes artist information in each subscription box. We highly recommend reaching out to them directly for their items.
What are the types of Flicker Box subscriptions available?
Flicker Box is a monthly subscription service and can be purchased as an automatically-renewing monthly subscription, or 3, 6, or 12 month term subscription. Term subscriptions are prepaid full up-front. We also offer a unique option for those who are a little slower at burning their candles: a bi-monthly option. By choosing this subscription, you will be billed and shipped a box every other month until you cancel.
When is my credit card charged?
Your card will be charged immediately. For 3, 6 and 12 months subscriptions, your card will be charged only once at the beginning of your term and will auto-renew when your term has expired. For monthly subscriptions, your card will be charged $25+shipping for the following month's subscription and $34+shipping subsequently once a month, every month on the same day until you cancel. *Depending on when your subscription began (for month to month subscribers only), there is a chance that you could make 2 payments before receiving one box. For instance, if you subscribe on January 1st, your box will not arrive before your second payment is made on February 1st. Please don't be alarmed if this happens.* All subscriptions are auto-renewing.
Can I cancel my subscription?
We'd be so sad to hear that. Yes, you can cancel any subscription at anytime by either logging into your account and clicking 'cancel subscription' or by contacting us at firstname.lastname@example.org. However, Flicker Box does not issue refunds.
Is sales tax charged?
Illinois & Colorado state regulations require that we collect a 9.25% sales tax on orders shipped to Illinois & Colorado. All other states will not be charged sales tax.
When will my first Flicker Box ship?
Flicker Box only ships once per month; typically our team packs and ships from the 1st-12th of each month. The cut off date to receive the following month's subscription is the 30th/31st of each month. For example, if you subscribe on any date in January (the 1st-3oth) your first box will be mailed February 1st-12th. Similarly, if you subscribe on any date in April (the 1st-30th) your first box will be mailed May 1st-12th. Flicker Box will typically ship out subscriptions by the 12th of every month.
*Depending on when your subscription began (for month to month subscribers only), there is a chance that you could make 2 payments before receiving one box. For instance, if you subscribe on January 1st, your box will not arrive before your second payment is made on February 1st. Please don't be alarmed if this happens.*
What happens if I'm on the waiting list?
In the event that Flicker Box sells out a month's subscription, you will be placed on a waiting list. This simply means you will begin your subscription the following month. For example, if you subscribe on May 30th and Flicker Box is sold out, your subscription will begin in July instead of June. Additionally, billing will continue on the anniversary date of your first payment, despite the delay in shipping. If your subscription is charged on two separate months before receiving your first box, please do not be alarmed. Our database keeps track of all of your payments as well as shipments and we'll ALWAYS ensure that you receive a box for each payment made.
How will my Flicker Box ship?
Flicker Box ships all subscriptions through USPS Priority Mail. It will arrive on your doorstep within 2-3 business days after it leaves our shipping locations in Chicago, IL and Denver, CO.
How can I change my shipping address?
To make changes to your shipping address, simply log into your Flicker Box account here. If you subscribed prior to 9/1/2015, you are unable to log in to an account. Please contact us directly at email@example.com.
