Dutch-Japanese Floral Rabbit Concept Hopping Into Hong Kong’s Causeway Bay

A cult-favorite pop-up blending minimalist Dutch design with Japanese kawaii aesthetics is crossing borders this summer, bringing its signature flower-and-rabbit theme to a new audience in Hong Kong.

Flower Miffy, the floral lifestyle boutique that has drawn devotees since its 2016 launch in Japan, will operate from June 18 through Aug. 16, 2026, at Shop G-01 on the ground floor of wwwtc mall at 280 Gloucester Road in Causeway Bay. The concept reimagines Dick Bruna’s iconic cross-mouthed rabbit through floral design, offering a curated mix of DIY bouquet stations, homeware, and collectible merchandise.

DIY Bouquet Station at the Heart of Experience

The pop-up’s central attraction is a “Flower Buffet” where customers assemble their own bouquets. Visitors select from five varieties of plush blooms—sunflowers, corn poppies, lavender, roses, and gerbera daisies—then wrap their arrangement in Miffy-branded packaging.

Pricing starts at $130 for a standard bouquet of three plush flowers, with customization up to six items per arrangement. For those who prefer a ready-made option, dried flower bouquets and exclusive tulip plush flowers are available without the DIY step.

Homeware and Lifestyle Collection Expands Offerings

Beyond the bouquet bar, the shop dedicates substantial floor space to a lifestyle collection. Notable items include:

  • Strawberry Party tableware: Mint green teapots, cups, plates, and dessert spoons with gold trim and Miffy motifs, priced between $100 and $380
  • Glass vases inspired by Bruna’s original illustrations
  • Plant pots and watering cans designed for aesthetic gardening
  • Floral tabletop and wall mirrors with three-dimensional flower detailing, offered at $380
  • Organza drawstring pouches printed with birth-flower motifs and embroidered rose designs, priced at $320
  • A wide range of bags, pouches, and totes for collectors

Spending Incentives for Collectors

The pop-up operates a tiered rewards program to encourage higher spending:

  • $300 or more: Receive one random limited-edition collectible card featuring Miffy in various poses
  • $1,500 or more: Take home the complete set of cards

A Tightly Themed Retail Experience

Flower Miffy does not attempt to appeal to all tastes. Instead, it offers a focused environment where floral design and the rabbit’s understated charm coexist. The combination of a hands-on bouquet bar, curated homeware, and collectible incentives makes for an accessible hour-long visit in Causeway Bay—one that frequently results in unintended purchases.

The concept’s move from Japan to Hong Kong marks a notable expansion for a brand that has relied on word-of-mouth and social media buzz rather than mass advertising. Organizers have not announced whether this pop-up will lead to a permanent Hong Kong location, but the limited-run format is expected to draw both longtime fans and newcomers curious about the cross-cultural aesthetic.

For visitors planning a trip, the venue encourages slow browsing. The pop-up operates within the wwwtc mall, which is accessible via the Causeway Bay MTR station. Further details on operating hours and stock availability can be found on the mall’s official website.
